Istrian dishes are a unique combination of nature's fruit from inland Istria and the freshness of the sea on the table

Dishes of the Blue Istria are a real challenge for all gourmands – choose something from the rich offer of white and blue fish and various mussels. Aromatic soups, tasty stews, refreshing crabmeat and octopus salads, salted anchovies, rich risottos or, simply, grilled fish, vouch for your top gastronomic experience.

Dishes of the Green Istria are prepared in the authentic atmosphere of taverns and wine cellars are indeed an exceptional gourmand experience. You must taste fuži or gnocchi in venison or farm chicken stew, ombolo and manestra. Do not miss tasting the renowned Istrian parma ham with sheeps cheese, toasted bread and obligatory olive oil. However, we must not forget the truffle – the very top of the Istrian gastronomy. Since the times of the Roman rule, the truffle has been an inspiration for top gourmand ventures. This aphrodisiac of a strong and characteristic aroma, grows in the woods in the Mirna river valley.
