Mareda Premium Village
Laguna Novigrad is particularly proud of the new generation of mobile homes at Campsite Mareda. They are 46 fully equipped modern units in a separated area of the campsite, arranged into a uniform entity.
More than a half of the Mareda Premium Village is made up of new mobile homes, recently delivered to the camp, while the remaining ones were purchased only a year ago. Stylized elements on the mobile homes' façades evoke the old architecture of Istrian houses, while the surrounding area is appointed resembling those of the rural complexes of Istria.
Mareda Premium Village is a new step forward in the evolution of camping, as it adds to it a new ethno-tourism and traditional dimensions, evoking the parts of former life in an village, at the same time offering the highest standard accommodation.
The Mareda Premium Village is based on the idea that a campsite, too, can provide an opportunity to experience the rich heritage of the region, which would, otherwise, have remained unknown to the guest.
Idyllic, countryside spirit
The well is an important element of the Istrian architecture and rural lifestyle. Rain water used to be collected in there, providing drinking water for generations of rural Istria inhabitants. If you travel with the intention to discover small parts of the Istrian heritage, the Mareda Premium Village at Campsite Mareda can be a splendid starting point.
For the history of Novigrad, it is those wells which are important, as the oldest known Novigrad shield is preserved on the spout from the year 1520.
Due to its location among vineyards and in a natural oak forest, Mareda is ideal for rustic and ethno experiences. Our Istrian village can be a splendid starting point for discovery of rural attractions of the largest Croatian peninsula.
In the centre, there is an Istrian well and a covered area for socialising in warm summer early evenings and a botanical garden, full of original plants, and a childrens' playground.
